Authorship Criteria
The International Journal of Enterprise Modelling (IEIA) follows internationally recognized principles of publication ethics and authorship. Authorship is granted to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the research and manuscript.
To qualify for authorship, each author must meet the following criteria:
-
Substantial Contribution: Have made a significant contribution to the conception or design of the research, the development of the methodology, the acquisition of data, or the analysis and interpretation of research findings.
-
Manuscript Preparation or Revision: Have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
-
Final Approval: Have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript submitted for publication.
-
Accountability: Agree to be accountable for their own contributions and to help ensure that questions concerning the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
All individuals designated as authors must meet all the criteria above. Individuals who have contributed to the research but do not meet all authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately in the Acknowledgements section, with their consent.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors meet the authorship criteria, that all authors have approved the submitted manuscript, and that the author order has been agreed upon by all authors before submission.
Changes in Authorship
Any addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors after manuscript submission must be justified and approved by all authors involved, including any author being added or removed. Such changes require written notification to and approval from the journal editor before publication.
Author Contributions
Authors are encouraged to describe their individual contributions to the manuscript using the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) framework, where applicable, to promote transparency and accountability in scholarly publishing.
The journal does not permit gift authorship, honorary authorship, or ghost authorship. All authorship declarations must accurately reflect the actual intellectual contributions made to the research and manuscript.
